Today’s design highlight comes from The Capital (London, of course) where 4D Studio are allowing us a sneak peek into one of their most memorable projects. Consisting of top-notch architects and interior designers, 4D Studio, an RIBA-registered Chartered Practice of Architects, help turn clients’ dreams into reality via their experienced team working in both London and Barcelona.

The project we’re viewing? Historic warehouse apartments in Newham, Docklands.

From warehouse to wow-worthy apartments

Thanks to the London team of architects, four of the historic warehouses at the Royal Victoria Docks have been restored and converted into stunning apartments. This is just one of the eight that has been created in the attic space of the existing building, which used to be a listed tobacco warehouse.

Vintage meets modern

As can be seen by various touches (like the exposed brick wall and timber ceiling beams), the new apartment retains quite a lot of the original building’s historic features. These have been paired up with modern and up-to-date features (including contemporary furnishings and deluxe décor) to ensure a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing living space perfect for the demands of the 21st century.

A room with a view

Adding to the visually pleasing design is the surrounding views, which come streaming into the new apartment buildings, especially here in the main bedroom which flaunts a striking little balcony.

Notice how the warm interior colour palette complements the earthy tones of the building’s existing features.

Let's take a look at the kitchen and bathroom!
